Microsoft Office 2016 is a version of Microsoft Office productivity suite succeeding both office 2013 and Office for Mac 2011.

A combination of four key applications within the product the Microsoft Office 2016 package is made up of four training modules designed to assist in the navigation and use of Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

 

Module 1: Microsoft Excel 2016 

This module will provide you with instructions on how to perform basic to intermediate tasks in Excel, including:

  • Creating and saving spreadsheets
  • Entering and editing text
  • Using formulas for calculations
  • Using functions in formulas;
  • Using cell references in formulas;
  • Formatting text, numbers and cells;
  • Hiding rows and columns;
  • Moving, adding and deleting worksheets;
  • Using table formatting;
  • Using charts;
  • Formatting and printing charts;
  • Protecting worksheets.

 

Module 2: Microsoft Outlook 2016

This module will provide you with instructions on how to perform basic to intermediate tasks in Outlook, including:

  • Sending and receiving email
  • Formatting email
  • Sending and receiving attachments
  • Working offline
  • Managing email folders
  • Adding and editing contacts
  • Creating and editing appointments, meetings and tasks
  • Using flags and categories
  • Using different views and arrangements
  • Creating and emailing groups
  •  Creating a signature

 

Module 3: Microsoft PowerPoint 2016

This module will provide you with instructions on how to perform basic to intermediate tasks in PowerPoint, including:

  • Creating, saving and opening presentations
  • Entering, arranging and formatting text
  • Inserting and arranging images
  • Inserting, arranging and formatting shapes
  • Organising slides
  • Using different slide views
  •  Adding presenter notes
  • Creating text and object animations
  •  Creating slide transitions
  • Adding headers and footers
  • Creating basic templates
  • Using comments
  • Checking spelling

 

Module 4: Microsoft Word 2016

This module will provide you with instructions on how to perform basic to intermediate tasks in Word, including:

  • Creating, saving and opening documents
  • Entering, arranging and formatting text
  • Formatting documents
  • Adding headers and footers
  • Understanding section breaks
  • Adding tables
  • Creating basic templates
  • Creating a table of contents
  • Using comments and track changes
  • Checking spelling and grammar
